Yah . I deleted holiday post #2 . Because I just re read my messages with him . And let me tell you , I was pathetic . And that's coming from me . 

ARGH 

《1st Day of School》

So ! 2nd Jan 2015 

       -----------------

1st day of school . As my school moved to a new location because of renovation and rebuilding , it's an entire new place and new environment . 

New class , new faces , new teachers , new subjects , "new" school . 

It's quite hard to adapt honestly if you didn't know anyone in your own class . Luckily , I knew people from my class last year , band and connections (; haha . 

Anyways , I woke up at 7 and left house at 7:15 (: we settled in the hall . Which was better than I thought . What I had in mine was that it was going to be really squeezy and I would have pins & needles when I sat down there for mass .

((my school is catholic , hence , the mass)) 

After mass , we had recess and I had my normal noodles and we sat with our classes last year (: 

to be really honest , I'm going to miss my class so much . I used to hate the loud noise , chatter , laughter during lessons and anywhere else but I realise that it's part of the class and it's something special .

I remembered how teachers loved our participation when they asked questions . My new class probably will keep quiet for the entire part when the teacher ask questions >< ((śigh)) but maybe that's just me . 

OH WELL 

The teachers made us introduce ourselves as usual and played a few games which I found useless #nooffence and made me repeat my name and surname like thrice . I mean... is it very hard to hear Samantha & ANG . But ofc , she has 41 names to remember , 2 Alyssas and 2 Emmas . So that's pretty understandable :P 

Our FT was quite nice but alittle deep (: haha . Explaining about expectation and time management and other stuff (: I think math teacher is Miss Yap >< kinda scared ... I think she'll be strict . OH WELL . In my class there's only me and another girl taking art . I cannot ._. It's going to be embarssing when they split us up and i don't know where to go lesson >"< 

My teacher splited us in groups ... And she put the TALL GIRL in front . 1st row . I mean ... And other teachers in other classes let them sit wherever they want :'( #mylife but I guess she wanted people from 203 , 204 , 205 & 206 from last year to bond :/ can't do anything anyways . 

Afterthat I had band ... {CCA} and we had a new co-conductor . Idk if I should say he's name 😂 oh well ! His name is 

Francis Tan 

I actually already met him from WYBF 2013 & 2014 ... So from what I know , is he teaches ACSi & he has really high expectations :P He was quite nice and is a really good teacher with all the music theory and sharp listening skills ^~^

He also gave us a 5-10 mins break which we honestly hardly get . So #yay 

My white shoes became black immediately after 1st day of school which I'm pretty pissed about ._. My shoes might as well be black .-. #annoyed 

The floor was still a little dirty so when you actually sit cross-legged , your shoes land on the dirty floor and become black ._. So annoyed . 

OH ! 

Did I mention about this awesome pair of white shoes I got from Orchard Factorie Outlet  ?! 

I bought a pair of super comfortable shoes for ... ONLY 

FIVE BUCKS . It's actually $4.95 but 0.0 yah (: I'm so happy

#3 Holiday Experience — Birthday Celebration (:

My mum had a free stay at Marina Bay Sands and as she's my awesome mother , she offered me if I wanted to invite my friends over for early birthday celebration and whatsoever. Of course I did ! (: so ... I invited

Oh ! Yah an incident happened maybe like 3/2 weeks before my birthday celebration when someone whatsapped me and invited HERSELF to my birthday celebration . Okay ... It's not like it's mine cuz i was celebrating together with my friend Sharlize (: she has the same birthday and Chinese name as me ...

I totally understand why you want to come for the birthday party but NO ONE invite themselves for others birthday party . I mean like .-. #nooffence #seriously

Anyways .... I rejected her and told her that if she wants to come , I can't stop her anyway , afterall it's her own legs and if she wants to come , I can't stop her . I'm just not going to let her join the party cuz it'll be so awkward #justsaying 

Yah . And she didn't replied me . 

I take it she's angry with me (duh) 

Okay , back to topic .... So the 21st was actually quite fun although I must admit it was awkward in the beginning and a little boring when we had nothing to do anymore . We played running man , where I freaked out and probably was the first one to be eliminated ... But before that me and sharlize were just using our phone ...

BTW ,  Did you know if you order macs in Marina Bay Sands it cost $60 more 0.0 . Becuase it's the "golden zone" 0.0 it's damn ridiculous . 

I ended up being the first to sleep ... Cuz I asked sharlize to play some songs to let us sleep on youtube and it actually worked (: for me at least 😂 ... 

(NEXT DAY) 

The next day in the MRT (: was going to city hall to treat them lunch ...  btw that's a fake smile . I was so tired :P I couldn't smile :P .

#2 Holiday Experience — Sec 3 Streaming Results

Sec 3 Streaming Results , Studies #realitycheck 

So ! Let's just get straight into the point (: 

Next year in 2016 , I will be in secondary 3 . Sigh :/ it's going to be stressful as shit . I actually got all the subject combination choices and I just had to pick my top 6 choices . 

Anyways , cut to the chase , I got my first choice (: 

English

Chinese 

E Math 

A Math 

Pure Chemistry 

Pure Physics 

Art 

Combined Humanities (e lit + ss) 

In total , that is 8 subjects which is the maximum in my school . 

I was really happy when I got my first choice and when I also found out that I was in the same class as almost all of my close friends . Satwant , Xin ran , Sarah etc . Do you want some pics ?? Yah I think I do (:

However , next year , the class I'm in is actually considered as "the smart class" 

That means , ALL the smart people are studying in that class . From what I heard (rumours and such) is that the school assigns the better teacher to the other classes and give the not so good teacher to the "smarty class" I don't know ... I just heard from rumours that that's what happens in my school . I'm a little worries for myself as well , afterall , if you're studying with all the smarty pants , you're going to be under a lot of pressure 😒 

Honestly speaking , I really don't like to be classified under the "smart ones" . Why ? Well ... It's a lot of stress . And everyone only remembers the bad things about you . Their standard is so high for you , sometimes when you don't reach it , you get judged for it . I remembered last time when I got 2nd in class in sec 2 , I was so worried that if the next time I get 5th or 4th , I'm going to be judged for the rest of my life in school . :/ 

Thinking about that , I shouldn't be worrying about that . But although almost everyone says that they don't care about what others say about them , they actually do . I mean , that's what I believe . I believe that to a certain extent , everyone cares what others say about them . But you just have to #shakeitoff 

(sorry , Taylor Swift is just awesome , not sorry) :P 

I'm stopping here cuz I don't know what's the point of this post :P lol . Ummmmm so what I'm saying is ... Oh ya ! I'm just telling you my subject combination and how I feel about next year . Yah !

Holidays Overview & #1 Holiday Experience — 2nd Wind Youth Band Festival 2014

So ! Hey guys (: 

Honestly , I don't think any of you are reading it hahaha I'm just writing so I can feel better :P

So , it's been school holidays since November and let me just see what I accomplish during this "almost 2 months" ... 

1. 2nd Wind Youth Band Festival 2014

Take note they're not in chronological order just becuase I'm lazy and yah :P 

Lemme talk about one of the biggest things that happened in the hols . LETS START WITH ... 

2nd Wind Youth Band Festival 2014 

If you're wondering what it is , it's something like a holiday band where you get to enjoy playing music with other people from other schools & after only 4 days of rehearsals , you get to perform at the Esplanade Concert Hall (: 

I actually went last year with my friends in the Junior Band (pic below) 

It was really really fun and I got to play music with my friends without the stress of my conductor in school (no offence ... not) I also made a lot of new friends (: and the guest conductor was also really funny and our favourite piece last year was probably the POP MEDLEY [ which included piece such as forget you , smoke on water etc.] 

Anyways , this year , my friends and I had the opportunity to join this again and most of us passed the audition . However , this year , I got into Intermedaite Band instead of Junior Band . The pieces were extremely difficult and I honestly had a hard time learning them . 

One big problem I had was that I didn't know ANYONE in my section when I was for there and if you know me , I don't think I'm very good at making friends :P so I'm pretty awkward . Although it was hard for me , I managed to make friends with the rest of the 12 amazing people I had in my section . There're 12 of the funniest , interesting people I've met (:

We got the opportunity to play 3 amazing pieces with the standard of difficulty so high I honestly almost died when I saw the score . 

- The Centurion 

- Bulgarian Dances 

- Sang ! 

The running notes for the woodwinds in "Bulgarian Dances" were so fast , one of out sectional tutors had to use money to make us play 😂 (just kidding , wait no , really) 

Sang! Was a piece where we actually had to sing almost half of the piece . When you look at the score for the first time , you will actually freak out like most of us do , and will totally give up . It's a jazz piece so if you learn music , there's ALOT of semi quavers and quavers . Although it was hard , it was really fun playing it as it was funny watching out conductor try to pronounce the words so that he could teach us how to sing it

On the concert day , 18th December 2014 , we were the band to open the concert and honestly speaking , although it wasn't as fun as last year in junior band , I had a really fun time playing with everyone else and learnt a lot of new things . The chaperones were also really nice and funny and if they did not play the ice breaker games with us on the 1st day , I really don't know how awkward it will be in the next few days of rehearsals . 

All in all , it was an awesome experience and maybe next year , I might join again (:  3rd Wind Youth Band Festival ! 

Scoliosis :'(

So.... I went to the doctor's today ... 

As some of you might know, I have scoliosis . It's a back problem where your spine is curved to one side . 

Actually , I'm suppose to be wearing a brace . It's a hard case that is terribly uncomfortable and hot especially in Singapore :( 

I'm a very stubborn person if you know me . I hate discomfort of any sort and I just refuse to wear the brace . It was 2 years with the mentality — nothin bad will happen to me . 

That was till health checkup in school where we had to do the forward bending test . 

The nurse seemed worried and even called up my mum . I figured that... maybe I should just try to wear it at night when I go to sleep . 

So at night , I would turn the air-condition to 23 degree Celsius (yes I know , global warming) and go to sleep . Wearing the damn brace >:\

For those who have never worn a brace before and you THINK it's freaking easy , let me just give u a heads up . 

                   It's NOT                          

It's hot , it gives me heat rashes and it makes me look fat & bulky . 

Hey , I'm a girl and I care about how I look . It's totally NORMAL . I might have tom-boyish days but eventually if I am still  a girl I will always be self conscious and will be scared that people judge me . The way I dress , the way I talk , how my Instagram posts look and etc etc . 

So back to the topic . I went for the checkup that the nurse referred me to today . It was at Singapore General Hospital & god was it a complicated process . 

I hated seeing doctors . Not because I couldn't stand the sight of needles , I just could not stand hospitals . I dislike the fact that I have to wait even if I had an appointment .-. I mean then what's the point of an appointment ? 

【PS. watch iisuperwomanii on youtube , why I hate going to the doctor's or something like dat , ITS AWESOME :))】

Anyways , I waited and stuff and took my x-ray ... When I saw the results . I got a shock . Literally . It was bad I mean , look: 

You see that curve there? Well, it's bad . It's obvious that the normal human's backbone is not like that . I mean .-. 

On the side note , my parents paid $600-$800 Sing dollars for the brace . It's suppose to help me . But erm no . Becuase of me , they practically wasted the money cuz I refuse to wear the damn brace . 

So the doctor says that I still have 2 more years or so to stop growing .

•On the positive side , yay ! I can become taller ! :D

•On the negative side , damn the bone could still worsen and move ._.

Once I've grown , it'll show on the X-ray above the hip bone . 

And the bone will be permernantly there and won't change . So this brace thing is suppose to keep my bone there so it doesn't worsen or improve is just by a little bit . 

My final decision is to wear it , I know it's going to be hard . But I guess I hate wasting my parent's hard earned money . To those who's facing the same problem , I feel you .

I always wonder why among 41 people in my class , only 3 of us in class has this problem . 

Why only me ? Why can't it happen to some other people ? Why am I so unlucky ?? 

Think of it this way ... Other people are born in Africa , where they don't have a place to live , nor a place to study and grow properly . I have a place to live , a great family , friends and everything perfect for a normal lifestyle . If this issue , brings me down already , in the many more years to come , where more problems and challenges arise , how will I be able to overcome it ? 

Of course , I can't possibly wear it 24/7 immediately . Maybe you can , but I defiantly can't get use to it . 

So I've decided to wear it for a few more days to sleep . Then ... Maybe everyday after I shower , I can put on till I sleep and wake up :) it's a routine thing . Eventually I'll get use to it & 2 years will be over in a blink of an eye . 

Maybe after this thing , or during the process I'll draw on my brace & make it look pretty :) not like the boring white one now :P haha 

My Next appointment @ KK on the 3rd Novemenber , morning when I collect my EOY results . I hope it'll get better 🙏

Meanwhile , I should go study geography and science :\ it's streaming year and hell ya it's important !

The Band Story :)

WARNING : THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG 

So as you guys know ... I'm in a band .

Concert Band actually , to be specific :) 

Honestly , when I was in secondary 1 , I hated band . I literally dragged my feet and cried myself to sleep 1 day before the day we had band . 

The conductor was tough , my tutor unliked others , was horrible and besides that , I did not had many close friends . 

Things started to get better , at the middle of sec 1 . When the conductor hired 2 other teachers to teach the junior band . Mr Lim and Mr Er . 

Mr Lim was a great teacher :) he was patient , fun and very nice . All of the juniors always an anticipated his presence for band instead of our "head conductor" . 

One thing you should know about the "head conductor" , he was extremely strict , cold , mean , rarely smiled , expected highly of us , not as patient and was just plain .. Horrible . You would not want to mess with him .

Well , for Mr Er , he was nice at first . Compared to our "head conductor" he was slightly better . SLIGHTLY . I still liked Mr Lim better though :\ anyways , this was what changed . Why I said "nice at first"

Currently , I play the tenor saxaphone in band and alto saxaphone for exams . Before I switched my instrument to saxaphone , I was in this section of the cornets . To those who don't know . The cornet is a smaller version of a trumpet .

I did not have a problem with it actually . I could buzz (google that) and my fingering was perfectly fine at the beginners level . But I just did not like brass instrument and whenever I tried playing the instrument , I get bad headaches . I also thought long term , where I knew that I would not be able to stand this instrument . So I requested to my "head conductor" a change to the saxaphone section . 

I saw this opportunity to play the instrument  as my friend , Nicole , was originally playing it and was sick for 2 weeks . 

To this day , I feel SO guilty for "taking" and "replacing" her spot for saxaphone . Honestly , if I were in her place , I would feel incredibly hurt and unwanted .

Anyways , the "head conductor" allowed the change . He said he would monitor my progress and whatsoever . I started playing on it ... And stuff like that . My tutor was not very nice to me . Compared to the cornet tutor , he was way much better . But that was fine actually . I had my seniors to guide me and stuff :) 

After that , we went for sectionals , where Mr Er conducted us . He saw that I changed instruments and became angry . He scolded me and yelled . That didn't bothered me till this : 

" I don't even want to see your face ." 

That hurt . It was like "ouch." I wanted to cry and run out of there ... It was horrible . I remember he made me sit in the corner like a primary 1 girl and practice my high D . Like WTH , it's my 1st day playing this instrument and you want me to reach every single note ? 

Till this day ... I remember the feelings , the moment , the embrassement  . They say that people should just buried the hatchet and let go . Well , I'm sorry . Wait I'm not sorry . Screw you , I just can't do that .
